This is a final reminder to complete the Bargaining Survey. If you know of any of your faculty colleagues who have not received this link, please invite them to provide their contact information to your Local at comms@locallines.org so that we can provide the link and confirm the best method to get in touch with them.
If you have already completed the Bargaining Survey, you do not have to read any further and have a great day.
If you have not completed the Bargaining Survey, please read the following message and follow the link to complete the survey by this Friday before it closes.
Brief Background
The results of this survey will be summarized centrally and provided to Local 415 to identify what is important to us. On November 5 Local 415 will hold a Local Demand Set Meeting to prioritize our demands. These demands will be shared centrally and again discussed and prioritized at a final demand set meeting on December 5 and 6 to inform the bargaining team on what to present to the employer in July of 2027.
You can access the survey at: https://form.typeform.com/to/y16GheN7
The survey covers issues relevant to full-time/partial-load Professors, Instructors, Librarians, and Counsellors.
Moving Forward
In the current environment, our contract faculty members endure instability, shifting between partial-load and part-time/sessional status from one contract to the next. As such, part-time and sessional faculty are also invited to complete the survey, as we share the common goal of striving for what is best for the college system.
The ability to get in touch with our members is essential to effect labour action. To assist with this issue, please do not distribute this link to others.
In Solidarity,
Your CAAT-A Bargaining Team
