Have you already registered for the Local Demand-Set Meeting next Thursday, Nov. 5? If so, thank you, and we look forward to seeing you – you do not need to keep reading. If not, please keep reading and register as directed below.
Next Thursday, November 5, from 12 to 2 pm, full-time (FT) and partial-load (PL) Professors, Instructors, Counsellors, and Librarians will come together to finalize our Local’s priorities ahead of the provincial demand-set meeting for the 2027 CAAT-A bargaining round. Your participation next week shapes what is brought to the bargaining table. Find a copy of the meeting agenda here.
If you are other than full-time (OTFT), you may be in the unique position of participating in both the FT/PL, as well as the part-time/sessional (PT/SL) Demand-Set Meetings. The sign-up details below are only for FT/PL sign-ups; a separate email will be sent to PT/SL for that Demand-Set meeting.
How to register: Follow this link and answer some qualifying questions to register.
Format: The meeting will be hybrid. You can join in person in Room B319 or online.
Top priorities identified by the bargaining survey included keeping pace with inflation and cost of living, improving layoff protections for full-time members of the bargaining unit, and ensuring all work required of partial-load faculty is compensated. Are these your most important demands?
Your voice is important. Make it count next week.
