If you have already completed the Bargaining Survey, you do not have to read any further and have a great day.
If you have not completed the Bargaining Survey, please read the following message carefully and follow the link to complete the survey by October 9, 2026.
Background
You elected your bargaining team in May 2026, and they need your help to understand your priorities for the upcoming round of Collective Agreement bargaining. Your completion of the survey will have direct input into the bargaining process and will ensure that your needs are discussed at both the local and provincial levels.
The results of this survey will be summarized and provided to your local to identify what is important to you as members. In late October to mid-November, local General Membership Meetings will take place to draft and prioritize demands that address the priorities members identified. The demands from all 24 locals will be discussed and prioritized at a final demand set meeting in early December to inform the bargaining team on what to present to the employer in July of 2027.
You can access the survey at: https://form.typeform.com/to/y16GheN7
The survey covers issues relevant to full-time/partial-load Professors, Instructors, Librarians, and Counsellors.
Moving Forward
In the current environment, our contract faculty members endure instability, shifting between partial-load and part-time/sessional status from one contract to the next. As such, part-time and sessional faculty are also invited to complete the survey, as we share the common goal of striving for what is best for the college system.
The ability to get in touch with our members is essential to effect labour action. To assist with this issue, please do not distribute this link to others. If you know of any of your faculty colleagues who have not received this link, please invite them to provide their contact information to your Local so we can provide the link and confirm the best method to get in touch with them.
