As you know, Part-Time and Sessional Faculty won their union certification in April 2025, and since then, work has been underway to bargain their first collective agreement.

Many of you have completed the Demand Set Survey, attended the September 2025 Town Hall, and signed your OPSEU Electronic Membership Form.

Now, there is an opportunity to connect personally with two member mobilizers who will be working with your Local 415 at Algonquin College to hear directly about the most urgent issues you are seeing in your workplace.

The Member mobilizers are two part-time professors:

  • David Mowat,  Algonquin College, OPSEU/SEFPO Local 415,
  • Justin Prest, Collège Boréal, OPSEU/SEFPO Local 673.

They are asking for a few minutes of your time to connect with you by phone, online, text, or in person for a one-on-one conversation. They may contact you directly soon, or you can book a meeting at your convenience using one of the following booking links :

Additionally, on March 30 and March 31, members of the Part-Time and Sessional Divisional Executive and Bargaining Teams will be visiting the Algonquin College Woodroffe Campus to address any questions about the bargaining process, including its current status.

The location and time for these drop-by conversations will be shared in a future email.

Remember, organizing works.

In solidarity,

Your Local 415 Leadership Team
