Have you already registered on the Partial-Load Registry for this year? If so, you can ignore the rest of this message. If not, and if you only registered last year, you must re-register this year, and you will want to keep reading.
What is the Partial-Load Registry? The Partial-Load (PL) Registry was one of the gains from the 2017 strike which provides tracking of courses that PL members have taught. Algonquin College administers the PL Registry, and you can find details on it here.
What is the deadline for the Partial-Load Registry? The deadline for the PL Registry is April 30, meaning that you have 10 days left to ensure your name is on the registry.
Who is eligible for signing up to the Partial-Load Registry?
Under the Collective Agreement (26.10 E), if you are currently employed as a PL faculty member, OR have taught eight service months as a PL faculty member within the last four years, you are entitled to register on the Registry and have priority for consideration on courses you have previously taught.
What do you have to do? Follow the above steps to enrol and be registered on the PL Registry.
If you need any assistance, please reach out to us.
You will continue to get reminders to register until the April 30 deadline. Please spread the word with your part-time colleagues, as they may be eligible as well! Yours
