We urgently need your support in signing this joint petition demanding that Claude Brule, President of Algonquin College, release the long-awaited Efficiency and Accountability Report. At other colleges, these reports have exposed plans for deep cuts, mergers, and privatization that threaten jobs, programs, and the quality of education itself.
Despite being asked repeatedly by members of the college community, Pres. Brule has consistently refused to make this critical document available. When we asked the college they pointed to the government ministry as the responsible authority, and when we asked the ministry through an FOI they pointed to the college. This lack of transparency undermines accountability and prevents students, employees, and stakeholders from understanding the decisions being made on our behalf.
