Education workers are rallying to defend our public education system!
Our local has been invited to join workers across the city from all different sectors to support education workers who are in bargaining with the province fighting for smaller class sizes. Doug Ford and his CEO buddies want to slash and privatize our public education and healthcare system and push parents into two-tier privatized. Our kids’ education and healthcare is more important than making a quick buck for Ford and his private entourage.
But it’s not too late! 255,000 education workers are fighting back!
Join us at our rally October 24th at 1pm at Parliament Hill!
These wins are not limited to education workers – what striking workers gain can be used to raise the floor for all of us. With Bill C39 attacking the right strike, it’s more important than ever that we stand arm in arm with workers fighting back – 255,000 workers strong. This is especially true for workers who do not have the right to strike, and use these wins to justify arguments at the bargaining table.
