Dear Colleagues,

We write you at the end of the first day of the Scholar Strike day of action, organized by scholars across North America, as a call to action for social and racial justice. You can read more about the events here. There are many ways to participate and we will support all members who decide to exercise our hard won academic freedom rights and join in such activities. This morning, we called upon the college to do the same.

Part of our role as a union is to support the most vulnerable and marginalized: we recognize those who suffer the most when times are difficult. As always, your union is here to protect you – we are always a quick call or e-mail away.

In solidarity,

Annette Bouzi, President
David Haley, First Vice-President
Enrico DeFrancesco, Second Vice-President
Shawn Pentecost, Treasurer
Judy Puritt, Secretary
