Recently, Colleges Ontario submitted a proposed to the province to allow Community Colleges to offer Nursing degrees on a stand alone basis.

Over the last months, your CAAT Academic Divisional Executive has prepared the following response on the issue. We agree that colleges can offer high quality BScN degrees, but it must be tied to providing a strong academic freedom and academic decision making the framework. The province’s failure to do so has led to significant degree discrimination for the students graduating with college degrees.

Attached  is the letter to the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, Dr. Reza Muridi as well as the divisional position on academic freedom
