Recently, we have become aware of some Partial-Load faculty members who are currently teaching and have received emails from the college noting that they are NOT on this year’s Partial-Load Registry. We want to make sure that those who applied are being fairly treated. According to the Collective Agreement (Art. 26.10E), as well as the Kaplan Award from 2017, you are entitled to a place on the registry as a current partial-load employee.
If you registered yourself for the Partial-Load Registry prior to the October 30th deadline, you should have received an email confirmation from the college that you were added to the registry. This email will have come from Algonquin’s HR, not the Local. If you received a notification that you did not meet the eligibility criteria, please contact the Local at partialload@OPSEULocal415.org.
Additionally, please take a moment to ensure that the Local has a personal email to contact you beyond your college email. In the coming days, you will receive important information from us related to the current bargaining situation.
Please check in with your colleagues to see that they are receiving our communications, as well. Sometimes our emails have been found in “spam” or “junk,” which just requires a quick adjustment on email settings.
